Life always comes full cycle, Georgia Northwestern Technical College graduates heard on Wednesday night.

"You never know where your career will take you," said commencement speaker Anne Kaiser, vice president of the northwest region for Georgia Power

About 325 students who graduated from GNTC during the summer and fall 2010 quarters received their diplomas Wednesday night in Dalton.

Kaiser took students on a journey through her career and how she navigated the times she was looking for a job or job change.

Her central message to the graduates was that it is vital to always be eager to learn, no matter whether it's the beginning of your career or well into it. That's the key to success along with the eagerness to work hard.

She shared how on more than one occasion she seemed to be looking for a job during challenging times.

"As all of you know, you can't schedule when you are looking for a job. It just happens," she said.

Kaiser told the graduates, "You are young, you are defying the odds, you may be the first of your family to acquire education, you may be the head of your household, or you may be conquering huge personal hurdles. You have worked very hard and you understand the value of work and family. The work you have accomplished and the future you represent is very humbling. You are at the beginning of your circle."

President Craig McDaniel also spoke, welcoming guests and introducing Kaiser.

"Graduates this is your night," stated McDaniel. "I want to congratulate you on your accomplishments."
