General Treasurer Raimondo chooses staff

PROVIDENCE — General Treasurer Gina M. Raimondo Wednesday announced the appointment of three new staff members and said she will retain one staffer and fill another job through a promotion.

The appointments were:

•Josh Brumberger, of Providence, deputy treasurer for policy and financial empowerment. He was formerly chief of staff and senior adviser for Eric Dinallo's campaign for New York attorney general. He also worked for Fortress Investment Group in New York, and from 2002 to 2006, he was senior staff member for Sen. John Edwards' presidential campaign. He is a graduate of Northeastern University.

•Christopher T. Feisthamel, of East Greenwich, chief operating officer. He was previously the principal of Dempsey & Co., a management consulting firm. Before founding the business in 2005, he worked at Citizens and Fidelity Investments in operational and CFO roles. He serves on the boards of Preserve Rhode Island, Leadership Rhode Island and the Providence College President's Council, among other organizations. He is a graduate of Providence College.

•Kenneth E. Goodreau, of East Greenwich, chief investment officer. Goodreau has managed the Treasury's investments since 2006. Prior to that, he was a general partner and portfolio manager at Knollwood Capital Partners LLC, a Boston-based investment fund. He is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island.

•Melissa Malone, of Providence, assistant director of member services of the Employees' Retirement System of Rhode Island. Malone was previously a senior associate at Taylor Duane Barton & Gilman LLP and is admitted to practice law in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. She currently serves on the Providence School Board. She is a graduate of the University of Connecticut School of Law and of Trinity College.

•Patrick Marr, of Cranston, associate director of finance. Marr was previously a fiscal manager and investment analyst for the Treasury. He is a graduate of Providence College.
