UMass Center for Marketing research hires two new graduate assistants Posted: 21 Oct 2010 09:17 AM PDT October 20, 2010 12:00 AM DARTMOUTH — The Center for Marketing Research at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth is excited to announce to addition of two new employees. Meredith Milliner of Sutton, and Rose Ayres of Marlborough, are the most recent graduate assistants to join the CMR and will be working on a multitude of studies that the center plans release this academic year. Ms. Milliner is a recent graduate of Umass Dartmouth, having completed her B.S. in marketing in May of 2010. Her focus in the graduate program is to obtain her masters in business administration with a concentration in marketing. Once completing the program, she hopes to stay in the Boston area and find a job with a marketing firm. She also wishes to continue her education and pursue her goal of attaining a law degree. Ms. Ayres is also a recent graduate from UMass Dartmouth and also completed her undergraduate in marketing this past spring. In addition to working at the CMR, she works as a resident assistant at the University. She plans to pursue her MBA with a concentration in international business. Once completing the programming, Ms. Ayres aspires to find a job in the marketing field that allows her to work at an international level. Both women are very excited to start the MBA program at the university while gaining exceptional real-world experience at the CMR. Ms. Milliner and Ms. Ayres will be working to complete several studies including a longitudinal analysis that involves the INC. 500 and Social Media usage. The graduate assistants will also be starting a ground breaking study that evaluates social media and its use by college students. These projects will be supervised by CMR Director, Dr. Nora Ganim Barnes. "The Center is truly student staffed. We are fortunate to have these talented students working with us this year," Dr. Barnes said.
